Single Review... Little Comets - Joanna

Little Comets are a lovely band from Newcastle, I first saw them play live supporting Delphic in March of this year, I bought their demo CD and loved it! Now one of those songs is 'Joanna', the only difference between the demo and the new version is the production. But still the song is absolutely fantastic! Think of them as perfect support to Vampire Weekend as their musical style has been likened to Vampire Weekend, and you can see why! I just love this upbeat song as it gives you hope in this otherwise droll country we live in, but hey, Christmas is round the corner and this is certainly perking me up!



So the new single ‘Joanna’ is set be released on the 17th January 2011 and they’ve released the video today along with an incredible alternative version they’ve called ‘Joannacapella’ The single was premièred on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last week and precedes the bands enigmatically titled début album ‘In Search Of Elusive Little Comets’ which will be released on January 31st 2010.
