Single Review... Yuck - Holing On

Remember a band called Cajun Dance Party from around 2006/07. Well, 2 of their band members went on to form a new project with a band called Yuck. Yuck, as much as their name suggests, are not so “yuck” at all. They have a new 7” single coming out on the 21st February and in these next few paragraphs I’m going to describe both of the songs to you.

Holing On:
First song is called Holing On which is the A-Side of the 7” single. This track kick-starts into life right away with some real Nirvana-esque guitar with a bit of a twangy flavour to it, driven bass guitar and simple drumming. Decent song filled with some weird but cool effects.

Coconut Bible:
Second song is called Coconut Bible. Weird name for a song but it’s pretty eye catching. Some nice guitar riffs to kick off the song. A simple song musically, filled with effects and driven chords and neat guitar parts, this song is truly one of the B-Sides that deserves to be a full blown single.
Out of 10: 8/10.
