After a surprising Mercury Music Prize ceremony, news follows today that Alex Turner and co have had to cancel their gig at Birmingham LG arena as part of their tour in support of fifth album 'AM'. Taking to Twitter, the band account (@ArcticMonkeys) wrote the following tweet;
''We regret to advise that due to illness Arctic Monkeys are unable to perform at the Birmingham LG Arena tonight (Thursday 31st October 2013)''''Please retain your tickets and await further information. We very much regret any inconvenience caused.''
The band, along with The Strypes, are scheduled to play in Glasgow tomorrow (November 1st) before returning to their hometown of Sheffield to play a show at the Hydro arena.
