Lorde's song "Royals" reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, making her the first 16 year old to do so since Tiffany did in 1987 with "I Think We're Alone Now." She's also the the first New Zealand solo artist to have achieved this honour.
Lorde's album Pure Heroine was released September 30th in the US, and it's wonderful. It will be released October 28th in the UK, so make sure you pick it up. In the mean time, you can get her EP The Love Club to hold you over until release day.
