Moats have spent the past 6 or so months recording new songs and developing their sound. After bursting onto the scene a couple of years back now with their début album "Singapore", the young indie darlings had it all at their fingers, but their latest material has steadily seen them improve from a Indie-Pop band to something with a bit more solidity. And their latest track "Absorb" has something that we can see being very big in the coming months!
It's got a feel of the atmospheric production heard in Wu Lyf's recording, the oh so beautiful British vocals associated with King Krule and the melodies and riffs of a band that has been together for a long time - not two years! Moats are certainly putting their sights high here, and why the hell not! They've got the right attitude when it comes towards music, they're great live and are some of the most welcoming chaps we've met. "Absorb" is just the start of things for them!
