The festival organisers have decided to not do RockNess this year and cite sporting events as the main reason. Glasgow has the Commonwealth Games this year and don't want to compete against it, along with the World Cup (although Scotland aren't playing... and it's in Brazil...). The same reason why Glastonbury didn't take a year off in 2011 and opted to take a year out in 2012 for the Olympic Games instead.
