It's that time of the week again, the beginning - BUT if you've feel liked you have missed out on anything we have a quick run down of TEN of the best tracks from the past 7 days. We're nearly half the way through the year too, flip me it's gone quickly!
Anyway, here we go!
Haus - Ceasfire
Last weeks' Track of the week - Their most recent track is a slower track of theirs, "Ceasefire" starts off with the bass and a light guitar, with a burst of vocals and a splash of summery guitar lines coming in after. The track is certainly a laid back number, maybe written while they were touring with Jaws, as it does have a slightly surf feel to it, but one thing is for certain. It's a bright summer anthem that will certainly have you swooning for more from the infectious band from North London.
Pool - What It Is
The electronic trio from Hamburg in Germany are back with a bright new track called "What It Is". We're premièring both the soundcloud stream of the single and their video that they recorded while on tour. With duel vocals layered out thick bass lines, light melodic guitar bursts and tight production this track is one of those three minute gems that you would always play when the sun comes out, it's certainly going to be one of our summer anthems.
Delamere - Do You Want Me? (Frett Remix)
So it looks like that Frett aren't just good at making music, but are also great at remixing others too! They've taken Delamere's track "Do You Want Me?" and have turned it into a track similar to that of The 1975's interlude tracks crossed with Alt-J's oddness.
Certainly a great electronic remix.
The Ting Tings - Wrong Club
Six years later, it's very easy to not think much of The Ting Tings after an identity crisis second album that didn't create half the buzz the first album generated. It's surprising but nice to say the indie pop duo are back with a disco stormer entitled 'Wrong Club'.
Circa Waves - Young Chasers
Circa Waves have a brand new single, "Young Chasers" really does remind us of The Vaccines when they released their first album, a wash of surfy guitars, oohs and ahhs, sweet melodic fuzz and anthematic verses.
Tenterhook - Chemicals
Tenterhook - aka Archie Faulks - is a singer-songwriter who sold out his FIRST EVER show at the famous Jazz Servants Quarters in East London earlier this year. His latest demo is called "Chemicals" and the full version will appear on his début EP which is due out in September.
Cloud Boat - Hideaway
The utter legends that are Cloud Boat have unveiled a brand new track called "Hideaway", we were blown away by their track "Carmine" earlier on in the year and this one simply blows it away. If you could imagine Clock Opera's début (and only) album mixed in with some James Blake production then you have "Hideaway".
Klaxons - Show Me a Miracle
Klaxons are well known for not holding back, and their video for "Show Me a Miracle" has big nods to Kanye's "Bound 2" video, you can clearly see what I'm on about if you watch the video. Please be sober when watching this, or you'll be freaked out!
Their album "Love Frequency" was out June 2nd, buy it now on iTunes and all good record shops!
Wild Cub - Hold On, We're Going Home
Wild Cub have had quite the 12 months, their début album came out, they've played SXSW, toured with The 1975 and have played their own sell out headline shows too. The guys have had a lot of fun and it easily shows with their cover of Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home".
Childhood - Falls Away (Jack Savidge / Friendly Fires Remix)
Jack Savidge of Friendly Fires has taken Childhood's single "Fall Away" and has remixed it and the results are FAB! The track is now a house laden track with added synths and bright electronic bursts, far from the original!
Anyway, here we go!
