Grand Splendid are Canadian, now when we think about Canada all that comes to mind is Bryan Adams, Arcade Fire and sadly enough Justin Bieber, but even for someone who's very narrow minded about a country we're excited to listen to this Montreal band's début EP.
The EP is a rather gentle affair with a lot of the songs reminding me of late era Brit-Pop, for example the late Feeder songs, Blur's late 90's tunes and early Post-Punk/Revival bands, which is not a bad little niche to be in! The centrepiece of the whole EP is the title track "Numbers" which has a great little summer vibe to it which the next track has too. The EP ends on a dark note with "Last", you can check out the brilliant new EP from the Montreal band below!
