Introducing...Hello Bear

Post Sad-Core Fun Pop three piece Hello Bear have crammed a lot into five years since their emergence in 2010. Recording both a 10 track E.P and debut album ("This One Girl"), receiving air play from Steve Lamacq BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and touring with the likes of Los Campesinos, Darwin Deez, Frank Turner, Kill It Kid and Shonen Knife all by the end of 2011 some may argue that these dudes from the fine city are destined for something big. And I would have to agree.

Known for their dynamic live performances, experimental music videos and zany but poetic lyrics the pop-punk three piece certainly know how create some serious musical fusion both on stage and in the studio. Drawing from influences such as Weezer, OkGo and Los Campesinos Hello Bear continue to push the boundaries by fabricating their own style and musical genres, refusing to conform to the norm.

2014 saw the release of the Bears second mini album "Watch Out, It's That One Guy" on Eightbyeight records. With a much rockier pop-punk feel compared to that of its predecessor it definitely highlights the musical direction the once described 'Cartoon Indie Pop' band are heading in, as they continue their quest to "bridge the gap between make-up-wearing boys and pint-drinking-girls".

Hello Bear are currently recording their 3rd studio album "Next Time We'll Be Deadly Serious Next Time" at Regal House studios with producer Lee Batiuk (Deaf Havana) and is due for general release this summer as they hit the road on a tea and rum fueled tour of the UK!

Stand out tracks for me include - "Darker Days", "I Dropped The Screw In The Tuna", "Free Fall" (below) and "I Know Of Pacman".
