I first heard the delights of Saint Raymond (Callum Burrows) while using the android app 'Shazam' of all things. It was on the BBC's website and the track that got me hooked on them was "Everything She Wants" - which you can listen to at the bottom of the post. Hailing from Nottingham they are following in the footsteps of Dog Is Dead and recent Indie darlings; London Grammar. After supporting Lewis Watson on a tour he is certainly on the path to be the next big thing!
As far as the music goes you can easily compare him against his fellow local act Dog Is Dead in a couple of his tracks, and within "Everything She Wants" is shouts an influence of Two Door Cinema Club and peraps early Foals? The thing is, he is trying not to sound like any other act out there, and with his diverse sound he is certainly proving himself not to be a one trick pony. With gentle acoustic tracks along-side some real summery Indie anthems and in the middle you've got heart warming Alt-Pop numbers doing him the world of good.
After being touted as the next Jake Bugg, touring with Gabrielle Aplin and Lewis Watson and performing at such festivals as The Great Escape he is certainly a talent to keep an eye on!
