Slaves share Chase & Status collaboration "Control"

Chase & Status have been teasing their fans with new music recently, and it turns out the featured artist on the latest offering was SLAVES! "Control" is your typical drum and bass track, pounding drums and - yep you guessed it - bass, however this has Slaves' rampant vocals and added punk swagger.

You can check it out below.

Pussy Riot share video for "CHAIKA"

So who remembers Pussy Riot? Yup, they're the female punk-band who performed in a church as a protest against Vladamir Putin - who outside of Russia is very disliked. Their latest track "CHAIKA" is aimed at Russia's prosecutor general, Yury Chaika.

The track is entirely in Russian, but don't worry, they have English subtitled to help you along the way - the videos and tracks are now getting to be a lot slicker and it's only a matter of time before they cause a stir once more.

[LISTEN] The Garden - Generous Gift

In October the LA duo will be releasing their début album called "Haha", but before that they're streaming a track lifted from it called "Generous Gift". The brotherly twin punk duo of Wyatt and Fletcher Shears have got a great bunch of songs already, but this one is filled with meaty hooks, thick drums and laced with synths.

Listen to it below.

Daily Download... Middle Distance - Your Honour

This week's daily download comes from one of the freshest bands around. Not only did they put the song out there just a few days ago, but it's their debut single, and a promising one at that.

'Your Honour' comes off the Buckinghamshire band's debut EP, 'Don't Leave Home', which comes out on 15th December. We're loving their fresh sound, with a fusion of darker, grungey tones, heavily influenced by the likes of Modern Baseball, and counter-balanced by the equally moody, but technically beautiful Morrissey-style vocals. The alternative-rock riffs and catchy vocals will be left ringing in a bitter-sweet rhythm around your head.

The band have also released a video to accompany the song through a rare 90s camcorder, check it out below, and grab your free download of the track on the band's soundcloud!
