Only Shadows have revealed a new version of their track "Be Still". The new version is by far the best one yet, with bigger vocals, bigger guitars, well basically bigger everything. It really does sound like the band are on the cusp of big things.
You can listen to "Be Still" below.

[TRACK OF THE WEEK] Only Shadows - Many A Mountain
Formed in a warehouse in late 2014, Only Shadows have been described by the likes of Amazing Radio as "One of the UK's brightest hopes for guitar music". And since then the band have in their very short life span supported the likes of Coasts, Saint Raymond, Prides and Young Kato. After their initial demos were picked up by BBC Introducing Birmingham, the band have toured extensively around the UK. Having sold out their first ever headline show, the band have been working at legendary Westpoint studios in London (Killers, Jake Bugg, Adele) on new material due for release in late 2015.
This week sees "Many A Mountain" get the 'Track of the week' treatment, and we're blooming loving it! The track is reminiscent of early Bloc Party, Editors and Biffy Clyro all in equal parts. The rush of guitars in the chorus is something I'd love to see more bands do, everyone is too scared of making tracks like this, however Only Shadows are setting their sights high here with a wonderful track. Dynamic and fresh, Only Shadows have recorded a stunning track, listen to it below!

Only Shadows unveil new track "Tooth and Nail" [IAI PREMIÈRE]
It's with great pleasure that we bring to you today Only Shadows' latest track, "Tooth and Nail". The song pitches in at just under five minutes long and does not disappoint, hence why it's having it's official full length stream on the same day as their EP release.
With the band just coming off a tour with Young Kato, getting loads of tweets and likes the band looks like they're on the up, and after you listen to this track you'll easily know why! It's a track that you can put in the same folder as Bloc Party's "SRXT" and Foals' "Spanish Sahara", it's a long track that's full of wonder and class, a perfect way to end a long hard day, stick this on and rejoice!

Track of the week... Only Shadows - Let Your Guard Down
Formed in a warehouse in late 2013, Only Shadows have been described by the likes of Amazing Radio as "One of the UK's brightest hopes for guitar music", and the band have in their very short life span supported the likes of Coasts, Saint Raymond & Mercury nominee Ghost Poet. After we heard one of their initial demos we liked what we heard and we were yearning for more, and last year saw their first EP, but today we've got the exclusive stream of their new track "Let Your Guard Down" from their forthcoming EP - "The Start".
Having already got the likes of Hollyoaks, Amazing Radio and some of the hottest bands around asking them to come on tour, it's only going to be a matter of time before these guys are selling out some big shows of their own. They're on tour with Young Kato in April too! With the track exploring a few sub-genres in it's 3 and a half minutes, this certainly shows the band off well, you've got the fun and bouncy Indie-Pop in the first third, then it takes a turn into something a little heavier, maybe comparable to Biffy Clyro's latest work. The song ends in a wash of rushing guitars and certainly makes us want more!

Watch Only Shadows' video for "Reason To Bleed"
Released late last year, we've come across the stunning video for Only Shadows' track "Reason To Bleed". We loved their EP which drew from their influences in such a way it was fresh and yet not trying to copy others.
This song is more towards the Interpol sound crossed with cracking riffs I want to comapre to the legendary Biffy Clyro!

Introducing... Only Shadows
Recently the Midlands has had a massive regeneration due to the thanks of Peace, Swim Deep, JAWS and Troumaca. One thing amongst those bands is missing slightly, a proper Indie-Rock band with it's roots buried in Post-Punk/Revival. Only Shadows have come out from the darkness and into the light recently, after having their début track "Many A Mountain" as our track of the week we saw how many people love the sound the foursome have crafted for themselves.
Much like any Post-Punk/Revival band they've got a B-Side floating about, but this isn't any B-Side, "Be Still" is just as good as the A-Side, a little on the slower side and gentler than it's predecessor the band have now got two great songs doing the business for them. They'll be playing shows all around the place soon, with huge hype behind them and great friends pushing them, they're on the way to being the next big thing to break from the Midlands.

Track of the week... Only Shadows - Many A Mountain
We've got something brand spanking new here, Only Shadows feature some members of VOWS, and their first song is a right winner, so we've decided to make it our Track of the week. As the band have only been together for around a month now this is their only song to date, yet it doesn't disappoint as they've gone all out on this one to make it as great and as epic as it can be! This song is going to be my anthem for a while after hearing it!
The track is reminiscent of early Bloc Party and Editors, two bands that the band absolutely love. The thing is, they're easy to pigeon-hole and yet it doesn't sound like they're ripping anyone off with their dynamic sound. The rush of guitars in the chorus is something I'd love to see more bands do, everyone is too scared of making tracks like this, however Only Shadows are setting their sights high here with a wonderful debut track. Be sure to 'like' them and keep an eye on future developments. I hear they've got more songs ready to be recorded, and personally I can't wait to hear them!
