Holy Esque have unveiled their version on Robert Palmer's "Addicted Lovers", which acts as a follow-up to their debut album "At Hope's Ravine". And perhaps you might have guessed, it's got a very 80's feel to it with some deep and heavy synths paving the way.
"We have always trodden carefully in the realm of song covers." explains frontman Pat Hynes. "The idea of working on someone else's track before perfecting our own seemed strange and initially unappealing, but when the idea arose to interpret 'Addicted To Love' we really enjoyed the process. It's a dark and somewhat sleazy track with a sense of sex appeal and fun. We love the original and thought we could show a lighter side of the band through this '80s hit. I think we have achieved that and we may even feature the song in a few special upcoming shows."

[LISTEN] United Fruit - Where The Sun Beats Down
Scottish band United Fruit have revealed a brand new track which is taken from their new album "Eternal Return". "Where The Sun Beats Down" is a pure post-punk revival track, with some insane riffs and uplifting vocals, this track sounds like it's been written for the big stages, and after playing it, I can see them commanding the festivals in the coming months.
The single is lifted from the forthcoming album "Eternal Return", which is released May 13th. They're also on a short Scottish tour in May, you can check the dates out below.

[LISTEN] Yung - Uncombed Hair
Danish quartet Yung have revealed the latest track lifted from their forthcoming album "A Youthful Dream". It's a furious track that leads you astray at the beginning because it's just a lot down-tempo compared to their other work, but it sure enough sparks into life.
The track is a corner-stone of their live sets and I bet they'll be performing this one for years to come, it's just got 'mosh-pit' written all over it!

[LISTEN] Yonaka - Ignorance
After hearing about them before their first track was out, I had to find out what all the fuss was about, then I heard who was managing them then realised why. Their manager is one of the best in the business and has a record for taking on great bands.
Anyway, less of him... he knows who he is. Yonaka's music is a mixture between post-punk-revival and dark-rock, with subtle hints towards the era between 2002 and 2008 which saw this music at the forefront of the music world, they seem to be wanting to bring it back, and for good. Head on down to hear the onslaught juggernaut that is "Ignorance".

[LISTEN] Parkwave - (De)Construction [IAI PREMIÈRE]
Parkwave started back in 2013 and today sees them reveal their new track "(De)Construction" via It's All Indie! Even though the band is still fairly new they've played a few big shows already, Festival of Italian University Radios (Novara), Disorder Festival (Eboli) and Arezzo Wave Love Festival in the 2014. The band sound like they draw influences from Interpol, The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand as "(De)Construction" sounds like a track right from the late 00's - takes me right back!
Their single "Wave" features in the soundtrack of the independent movie 'The Antwerp Dolls' directed by Jack Reid. Their other track "Frames" was the the first single taken off their début album "Better Than This" out Feb 26 via Bizarre Love Triangles (IT) and Friends Records (US).
You can listen to "(De)Construction" right below.

[LISTEN] Man Made - Raining In My Head
Man Made today have shared their new track "Raining In My Head", which is taken from the forthcoming album "TV Broke My Brain". The track sounds like a lovechild between The Manic Street Preachers and The Smiths, it's got a great 90's Indie flavour to it but with an urgency of a teenager in bed with a fellow teenager - you get the idea.
There should be no surprise when I say that Man Made is lead by Nile Marr, yes, the son of The Smiths' very own Johnny Marr - so it's clear what his influences are!

[LISTEN] Gylt - Light On
So it seems that loads of new bands are popping up since the turn of the year, and today we have another. Gylt are not a Welsh band - as the name may suggest - but they're from the big smoke of London and play some straight up Indie-Rock. Comparisons can be made against The Libertines, early Blur and early Post-Punk-Revival bands such as Franz Ferdinand.
Take a listen to Gylt's debut track just below.

[LISTEN] Bloc Party - Blue Moon (Demo)
While in my car today, my massive 128GB flash drive threw this track on, it's a demo version of "England" which went on to feature as a b-side on "The Prayer" 7inch vinyl release. The demo shows the raw energy of the band and gives you an insight to what "A Weekend In The City" could've been. Kele said about "Blue Moon" that: "[The album is about] commuting, working, drinking, watching time slip by. It's not a dance punk record, that shit has been done to death. Dance punk will not be a noose around our necks."

The Vaccines share video for 'Give Me A Sign'
The Vaccines have unveiled a brand new video for their next single 'Give Me A Sign'. Directed by Peter Huang, the clip is an incredibly entertaining short film. The video documents the life and times of a fictional 80's band 'Wood' whilst they record and perform their new album. The Vaccines themselves also make a small appearance as the documentary film-makers, which is ironic as they are usually the 'rock-stars' but in this clip they're on the other side of the story. Every little detail reflects the 80's rock-band lifestyle, from the hairstyles, to the concerts and to the outfits. 'Give Me A Sign' is an incredibly punchy track from The Vaccines, and is most definitely a crowd-pleaser.
You can catch The Vaccines on their UK tour from late November into early December, including three unmissable shows at the O2 Academy Brixton. Check out the brand new video below!

Glass Caves stream album track "Go"
Yesterday their new song "Go" premièred on The Clash's website, it's a brand new song that's going to be the centre-piece of their début album, "Alive". It's an energetic song with screeching guitars, even bigger choruses and some great lyrical hooks!
This sound was massive in 2004/2005, and since that was 10 or so years ago think of this as the new wave of Post-Punk-Revival bands! They can seriously do some damage with this stormer if people pick up on it, hence why we're posting, just listen!

The Strokes are to work on new material next year!
Julian Casablancas spilled the beans on The Strokes' new album and has told BBC 6 Music their intentions.
"In January we might meet up and work on some ideas. Everyone is psyched. Everything is in a really cool place."
Earlier on this year the band has been seen at a select few festivals and a handful of headline shows in America. So hopefully this will push the band to try out new material live, new shows too? Who knows, but this is a great piece of news for any fan of The Strokes!
