Peter Bjorn and John have released a new single from their upcoming album "Breakin' Point", and the single is funnily enough also called "Breakin' Point". I just don't know how they keep on creating indie-pop hit after indie-pop hit!

[LISTEN] Tom Redwood - I've Fallen For You
As you all know, we love Swedish music and this latest Swede sensation is currently getting hyped all over the world thanks to the HypeMachine (which we're not a part of, #notbeingsourhere) and Spotify. The track reminds me of a George Fitzgerald track but with a lot more guitar lines, and it honestly sounds like it can be performed live by a band, this is some sick production!
Listen to it below.

[LISTEN] Skogsrå - Out Of Time
SKOGSRÅ is the Swedish equivilant of Major Lazer, loads of tunes - all bangers! His latest track is "Out of Time", which features some funky as guitar lines that Nile Rodgers himself would be proud of. It's a funky, upbeat, dancey, indie-pop gem and is certainly one to pop on for a Friday night boogie down the discotheque.

[LISTEN] FEWS - The Zoo
The Zoo by Swedish-American band FEWS is irresistible from the get-go. A classic pounding bass riff aided and abetted by simple driving drums provides the basis for the sinister and spacey guitars to create a dark, unsettling yet spacious atmosphere. The reverb drenched shoegaze style moaning vocals sustain this feeling, before the yelped ‘Time! Is! On! My! Side!’ refrain further paints an ominous picture of whatever mysterious ‘Zoo’ the title relates to…
Easy comparisons can be made to Joy Division or Interpol in the suffocating production style, or to Kid A era Radiohead (think ‘The National Anthem’) with respect to the bludgeoningly repetitive and strident guitar-line, coupled with eerie synthetic noises popping in and out. FEWS were discovered and produced by acclaimed producer Dan Carey, from which you can hear influences from previous projects Bat For Lashes in the off-kilter vibe, and Django Django in the relentless rhythms.

[LISTEN] Leo Skywell - Leisure/Desperation [IAI PREMIÈRE]
Today we're bringing you a rather lovely piece of Alt-Pop music all the way from Sweden, it's Leo Skywell's new track "Leisure/Desperation". The three-minute pop gem was written during an unplanned visit to Nepal. Spending day after day on the southern slopes of Himalaya, far away from music, wifi and other distractions, the song took shape – at the same time brutally slaying and unconditionally praising nightlife surrounding him in hometown Gothenburg, Sweden.
Skywell, who just turned 20 years old, started his career as jazz guitarist. He was introduced to a wider audience this past summer with a 20 date solo tour through Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The track is a pure example of musical talent, with no influence from the outside world, his vocals captivate you and you're just memorised by the melodies.
"Leisure/Desperation" was recorded at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg and is the first release in a forthcoming, long term, collaboration between Birds Will Sing For You and CLSSN Musik.

Today we're bringing you a great new tune from The Bongo Club, all the way from Swden. "All She Said" sounds like a heavier version of The Wombats, crossed with Royal Blood, they've got the pop hooks and the meaty ones too, with a chorus to sing out loud and go mad to!
Their single comes out on Sunday - take a listen to the slick track below!

Pale Honey reveal new video for "Over Your Head'
Pale Honey have been labelled as a minimalistic rock duo from Gothenburg, Sweden, and they've already been likened to artists such as PJ Harvey and Sleater-Kinney . With some delicate vocals caressing every one of their tracks, the video for "Over Your Head" certainly gives you a relaxed impression on you as you watch the duo - dressed as nuns - exploring the woods.

[LISTEN] Dolce - Gröna Höjder EP [IAI PREMIÈRE]
Today we've got a brand new EP from Northern Sweden's finest duo DOLCE, it is coming out on August 31st (tomorrow) and we're really excited for it too! The band's been releasing a string of acclaimed singles this year, including the song we featured "Inez Palema" earlier this year, but their début EP is a real step up with some lovely alt-folk cues, beautiful vocals reminiscent of fellow Scandinavian Jonsi and some beautifully gentle guitar hooks. They've recently they performed at a sold out venue at the Way Out West festival in Gothenburg too.

Frida Selander releases "Like a Cat" video
It's been a while since a Swedish act has got us excited, well actually I think it's been a week, but that's just more proof that the music scene in Sweden is astonishingly strong! "Like A Cat is" the first single from Frida Selanders' anticipated album "I Hear Sunshine".
Four years have passed since her last album Try Again Baby, and we now finally get to know what has happened. Frida sends word: "Like A Cat is the song that opens I Hear Sunshine. It comes with the summer, with the light, with the blooming trees and the pink clouds. I've opened my hands, I've lifted my eyes. I'm here. Like A Cat opens up for something new. Invite it in. Lay yourself down. You're a cat, just like me. Sprawl on the sofa, in the sun. Look at the sky, look at the clouds. There's nothing to understand, you can only feel it."

[LISTEN] Gone In The Sun - SMILE
This is a pure summer anthem - no less. "SMILE" is the latest track from Stockholm's Gone In The Sun and it struck a chord with me straight away from the beautiful guitar at the start of the track and then continues on with the captivating vocals.
I've been saying this for a long time now, bands in Sweden know how to write a great song, and it looks like Gone In The Sun are one of the best!

Watch Full Of Keys' new video for "Strike Like The Lightning" [IAI PREMIÈRE]
What do you get when you cross Banks with Lana Del Rey, well clearly Full Of Keys' vocals! She has always struggled with the darkness within her self and from that found sources of creativity. Behind Full Of Keys is 30-year old Anni Bernhard, residing in Stockholm. Full Of Keys has previously released two albums that received much attention in Sweden, now she’s back with the single "Strike Like The Lightning".
Much like the track suggests, the video is laden with great visuals of luminescent jellyfish, typical Scandinavian weather (glorious snow!) and her dancing to a backdrop of pure white with the wind machine giving the video a big atmosphere. Just a powerful video to behold!
"Strike Like The Lightning" is released May 25th via FULL OF KEYS' own record label Qi music.

Sameblod release new track "My Fortune"
Things like this is why I love blogging, today a band I never heard of before had a new track, that band turned out to be Sameblod and since listening to their new track "My Fortune", and it sounds like New Order versus Years & Years.
Uplifting melodies, a 90's feel to the synthesisers, airy vocals and a sound that's long lasting, you're going to be hitting the play button again after listening to this one!
