[LISTEN] Vaults - Midnight River (Vaults Remix)

A lot of artists send their tracks to be remixed and re-imagined by another artist, not Vaults. They've only gone and remixed their own track here, with added layers, washes of vocals and I can tell you what, I prefer it. Not to discredit the original version but this track is perfect for me right now, late at night and listening to some fantastic music.

Last week Vaults popped down to Dermot O’Leary's BBC Radio 2 show and asked them to perform an acoustic cover, they chose "Mountain At My Gates" and have turned it from an indie-rock song laden with guitars to a chilled out piano lead epic with some strong vocals.

[LISTEN] Vaults - Losing Game

"Losing Game" is Vaults' latest track lifted from their forthcoming EP "Cry No More". It features the trio going all experimental on us with layers upon layers of ethereal vocals, chimes and some brooding basslines. Their next EP is certainly warming to us, all we're waiting for now is that illusive album!

Vaults unveil new track "One Last Night"

Vaults have shared a brand new track today, "One Last Night" is their latest effort, and it's also - rather aptly - on the new OST for the Fifty Shades of Grey film. You can stream their lyric video for the track below.

Vaults reveal video for "Vultures"

The electronic trio have revealed the video for their EP's title track "Vultures".

The director said this about the video...

"It made me think of a group of woman chanting to each other and to themselves, not to sleep but to comfort each other, telling their story and what it hurts them but also sharing their love and joy. I think these two sentiments were equally important to be represented in the video. As a woman there are so many difficulties in the world; the fear of violence every day, dehumanisation because of my sex, censorship… But in the end I just want to remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman"

Vaults cover Alt-J's "Hunger of the Pine"

Vaults have uploaded a slick cover of Alt-J's "Hunger of the Pine" - the origonal is going to feature on Alt-J's new album soon!

This is what the band said about the cover:

We are all massive fans of these guys; they make such exciting choices in their music and we thought this particular track, with the Miley sample, would sound really interesting interpreted by a female voice. Blythe laid down a vocal which seemed to work first take - everything followed that!
