Ryan Adams releases his version of '1989'

Today is the day we have all been waiting for, Ryan Adams has released his take on the whole of Taylor Swift's latest album '1989'. The singer has covered the 13 songs from the album, with unique more guitar-based versions of the hit pop singles.

Songs such as 'Bad Blood' and 'All You Had to Do Was Stay' are particular highlights as they both stay within the original themes but still contain Ryan Adams' classic rock voice combined with more of an alternative country sound (kind of reminiscing with the old Taylor Swift country-style in some ways).
The entire album is most definitely a must-listen, it feels like a brand new album from Ryan Adams himself and is an awesome, unique take on a classic pop LP.
The album is available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify now and will be available on CD and vinyl in the near future.

Ryan Adams unstoppable; composes original score for new Pacino movie, announces 7” to follow recently released album

After taking a step-back from the scene and seeking help for his Ménière's disease, a chronic degenerative disorder, Ryan Adams has reemerged as a formidable force with which to be reckoned.

He’s already dropped a handful of 7”s, gone on tour, made a number of TV appearances, released a self-titled LP which came out Sept. 9th via PAX-Am, and  he produced Jenny Lewis’ new album, The Voyager.

Soon to be dropped is yet another 7” entitled Do You Laugh When You Lie? It is available for pre-order through PAX-Am and will ship to arrive “on or around December 9th”

Perhaps most impressively however, is his collaboration with Theodore Shapiro in composing the original film score for Danny Collins, an upcoming comedy starring Al Pacino. Shapiro and Adams previously co-wrote the original song “Stay Alive” which was performed by Jose Gonzalez for last year’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Danny Collins, originally titled Imagine, features songs by John Lennon and is set to be released in Spring 2015 by Bleecker Street. For updates on the dramedy, visit the official movie website.
