[LISTEN] Splashh - Pure Blue

The Australian Surf-Rock band are touring with Peace around the UK in the coming month, but before that they've revealed a stream of their new track "Pure Blue", and it's the first insight to their follow-up album to 2013's "Comfort".

"Pure Blue" sounds like a transitional track, while they've left behind some elements of their last LP behind they've kept the big ass guitars and have now added a few glitchy cues to it, more ambitious sounding synths and a driving bassline! The single is out tomorrow - 18th of September via LuvLuvLuv Records.

Around 7 months ago, Spalshh dropped a song that wasn't going to be on their début album, so we thought it would be of lesser quality. Oh how we were wrong - this song ended up going up as 'Track of the week' and the rest is history.

Splashh unveil new video for "All I Wanna Do"

The London (via New Zealand and Australia) have unveiled their brand new video for "All I Wanna Do". This is not the old song rather a re-recorded version that'll be on their forthcoming album "Comfort" that's set for release on June 3rd, 2013 and will be available through Luv Luv Luv Records in the UK.

Track of the week... Splashh - Sun Kissed Bliss

Splashh is the brainchild of Toto Vivian and Sasha Carlson. Forming only a year ago, the band bonded over their mutual music loves and began plotting their sun drenched musical assault on the UK. The band have now released their latest track as a free download last week and we've been playing it ever since it hit my laptop!

The latest effort from the London via New Zealand and Australian band is a fuzz-laden grunge-pop track that's just waiting to be listened to. With a very summery feel going on this song is everything the UK is not at the moment. As I look outside I want to be in this track, I want to be on the beach on a skateboard with my mates. Splashh are actually releasing this track with their début album via US label Kanine Records, more details on that when they come. But in the meantime, listen to "Sun Kissed Bliss", bring on summer!
