Luls split up

Luls have ceased to be a band, in a statement that they wrote on facebook earlier today they have now decided to call it quits on the band. Which to me and their fans is a real shock.

The statement reads:

We'd like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has come to see us, helped us, listened to our music and just generally been supportive over the last year.

Unfortunately we aren't going to be continuing with LULS, we hope that doesn't seem ungrateful.

Sounds of 2013 - #16 - LULS

London based LULS craft bassy, distortion drenched indie pop music with huge anthemic choruses. The London three-piece have already enjoyed the endorsement of Zane Lowe, and lets be honest, with his backing you know this band is going to be good! Their latest single 'Swing Low'came out in October and we've been playing this on loop for ages!

The band have supported the likes of Spector, Swim Deep (and come late December) Peace, other than that they've been relentlessly playing the live circuits in and around London generating quite the buzz for themselves. I'll be very surprised if they don't go on to be a band to be reckoned with for 2013!

Track of the week... Luls - Swing Low

The London three-piece have already enjoyed the endorsement of Zane Lowe, and lets be honest, with his backing you know this band is going to be good! Their latest single 'Swing Low' is out today (22nd October) and we've been playing this on loop for ages and we thought it would be best to shout about it today.

 

'Swing Low' is a resoundingly fiery and triumphant blast of Indie-Pop, the atmospheric Indie anthem will grab you by head and won't let you go. The changing vocals throughout the song captures me when I listen to this song. 'Swing Low' is one of those tracks that'll stay in your playlist for months to come, I'll be very surprised if they don't go on to be a band to be reckoned with for 2013!

LULS announce début single - 'Swing Low/Young'

London's LULS have announced details of a début double-A side 7" single - 'Swing Low/Young' - to be released through ParadYse Records, the label imprint from Transgressive which released Theme Park and Cold Specks' early releases. It'll only be on a run of 250, so be quick!

You can catch them at The Horn St Albans on the 20th of September along with three great local bands!
