Biffy Clyro perform new songs in Annie Mac/BBC Radio 1 Session

Biffy Clyro headed down to Madia Vale to perform a very special session for Annie Mac and BBC Radio 1, with 30 fans in attendance too. The trio performed 12 songs in total with 4 of them getting their live debut. You can listen to it all (apart from "Animal Style") below.

Biffy Clyro share video for "Wolves of Winter"

Biffy Clyro have revealed their explosive new video for the equally explosive "Wolves of Winter" via Facebook the other day. The new cut is lifted off their up-coming album "Ellipsis" and will be released later on this year.

The video is all animation and sees some very good animation accompany the video, at least it's not your standard band playing in a room with quick camera movements, good on ya Biffy! Anyway, you can watch it below.

Well now, happy Monday indeed! Biffy Clyro have today unveiled their return with their blitzing new track "Wolves of Winter", which might quite be their biggest track to date, and I shit you not! It's got more meaty hooks than a butchers shop, more shouts and yelps than a footy match and with enough atmosphere to give Muse a run for their money.

Biffy Clyro to reveal new track on Monday

After what seems forever, Biffy Clyro are to release new music. The band will be premièring their new song - as yet uknown - on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show on Monday, at the time of 7:30pm. So at least now there's something to look forwards to, and if you wanna teaser of it head on down below and listen to a snippet.

Biffy Clyro will also return to Scotland this summer to play their largest ever headline show at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.

The show will take place on Saturday 27th August with special guests Fall Out Boy and more names set to be announced as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions.

Biffy Clyro tease fans with new music

After sending out a very short email to their fans, a uproar was started. Why? Well it now looks like the band are due to drop a new track any day now. The teaser below is just 12 seconds long, but I just know something will be out soon!

Watch Biffy Clyro perform new track "On A Bang"

The band débuted the new cut while performing in Edinburgh on New Years Eve as part of the Hogamamy celebrations in the Scottish capital. You can watch the trio perform the heavy cut just below, we can expect some material from them before the year is out.  The band have even been quoted saying that it's "Deafheaven meets Tears For Fears meets Death Grips".

Biffy Clyro announce first 2016 show

The Scottish trio are set to play Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany later on this year when the European festival season starts in the summer. This year's event is set to take place 3rd of June to the 5th.

This'll be the band's first outing in quite a while, and will no doubt be one of the first opportunities to see the band play some new material, their last proper album was 2013's double-album "Opposites", followed by the b-sides album "Similarities".

The band have already confirmed more shows are set to take place too, MON THE BIFF.

ZZC (Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro) unveils début track "To The Bone"

Simon Neil has launched his solo career with his début track "To The Bone", going under the name of ZZC the track below is one that features in the newly re-scored Drive soundtrack. It's not his usual rock track but more of a delicate acoustic, come ambient via silky piano keys affair, certainly one to pull on your heartstrings.

Biffy Clyro announce London Troxy show

So this week Foo Fighters announced a show at Brighton's Concorde 2, and now Biffy Clyro have also announced a small show. The 2,500 capacity venue in Limehouse, London is going to be having Biffy Clyro performing there for Relentless Energy Drink.

The gig takes place on 22nd November with Zane Lowe both curating and DJing on the night. More bands will be announced over the next two months. They might even be performing some new music, as they're set to release a new album next year!

Biffy Clyro are already planning thier seventh album

In an interview with DIY - When they were chatting with Ben (Bass) he announced that as tough as their lives are they have had time to plan some news songs, going on to say ...

" ... and we have a couple of weeks before we go off to Russia, so we'll be back into our farmhouse working on some songs. We do have about fourteen songs, but it's difficult to say whether even one of them will be on the record. That's not quite where we're at right now; we're just trying to make music to have fun, and do things that make us smile. The idea of putting it altogether and making it an album is still a little bit off just now, but it's exciting. We feel blessed it be going into making a seventh album."

Biffy Clyro are planning to release their B-Side album "Similarities" later on this month which will feature some new songs amongst the B-Sides.

Biffy Clyro to release a new album in 2015

Speaking to XFM, Simon Neil said that he's already written around14 songs for their next album. This'll be their seventh album and will be released just two years since their biggest selling album "Opposites".

Regarding the album Simon commented:

"I've written about 14 songs so far. We're kind of doing some demos of them at the moment. The fact that the ball is rolling on this record is very exciting, I think we'll look to record it maybe the start of next year, possibly out for the end of next year. To me making a record, it's an ongoing process. You might not be ready to record it in a couple of months but the creativity and the evolution of the band, it picks up exactly where it left off."

Steve Sparrow from Morning Parade covers Biffy Clyro's "Black Chandelier"

Steve Sparrow and his friends in Morning Parade are currently touring around North America with the Scotlish legends Biffy Clyro, and he's taken to the streets to perform an acoustic cover of Biffy's "Black Chandelier".

Biffy Clyro to release B-Sides album "Similarities"

In the same way which they released the B-Sides to the singles from "Only Revolutions" and compiled them to make "Lonely Revolutions". Simon Neil has been talking to Kerrang about doing the same for "Opposites" this year, which will even include some 'new' songs that have yet to be heard by fans. The new compilation album will be called "Similarities" and will once again have around 18+ songs included in it.

The band are well known for releasing everything they've recorded as seen when they put out 4 new songs per single release last year. 3 on the iTunes 'EP' and one on the vinyl release with more being released as special releases for Record Store Day.

The added bonus of the new tracks will make this worth buying for everyone. You can listen to what is arguably the best B-Side from the "Opposite" sessions below - "Watch".

Biffy Clyro to headline Isle of Wight Festival

The Scottish band are set to headline the main stage on the Friday. Also on the line-up for the Friday of the Isle Of Wight Festival are Rudimental, The 1975, Passenger and The Waterboys.

Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Glastonbury, Biffy Clyro and Vampire Weekend win 2013 Q Awards

Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Glastonbury, Biffy Clyro and Vampire Weekend all picked up an award at the 2013 bash in London.

Foals picked up the best live act, down to them rocking the Albert Hall TWICE in a day, headlining Latitude Festival and playing some tiny venues before the release of their third album "Holy Fire".  Arctic Monkeys picked up best track for "Do I Wanna Know?" and Glastonbury won... best festival, of course!

Biffy Clyro to perform special acoustic show at London's Jazz Cafe

 Biffy Clyro are playing a one off acoustic show at the Jazz Café in London on Sunday, 20th October as part of the Q Awards 2013. They're holding a ballot and names will be chosen at random and given a limited time period to purchase tickets.

Bastille and Biffy Clyro announced as supports for Muse shows

Taking to the stage right before Dizzee Rascal and Muse themselves, Bastille will be performing at Coventry's Richo Arena, London's Emirates Stadium and Manchester's Etihad Stadium.

Biffy Clyro however will be playing with Muse on their North American tour and will also tour together this summer at selected shows across Europe. Biffy will be the main support for dates in Amsterdam, Paris, Turin and Berlin throughout June and July.

Biffy Clyro to release single for Record Store Day

Biffy Clyro have announced (via their mailing list) that they're going to be releasing a single to celebrate 2013's Record Store Day.

The band will also be marking Record Store Day later in the month with an exclusive 7" single which features "Modern Magic Formula" recorded live in Dortmund and another previously unreleased b-side "City of Dreadful Night".

Biffy Clyro have been announced as the next headliners of Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013.

The Scottish Trio – whose new album "Opposites" is currently sitting at Number One in the UK Official Album Chart, join Eminem at the top of the bill on the Main Stage and Alt J, who will headline the NME/ Radio 1 stage.
