Daily Download... Chaser - Blood
When we saw them back in April we got a glimpse of a stunning track, and that track was 'Blood'. It's an older track to the others but the lads have got round to recording it, and I have to say thank-you Chaser! This is once again another stunning Electro-Rock track with plenty of hooks and beautiful vocals, the lads have to get signed soon!

Friday's Finest #5
Here is the fifth instalment of Friday's Finest, ran in tandem with 'Slate The Disco', this week we check out bands from all areas of the Indie music world!
It's All Indie: Futures – Swim Teams
This was the week when Futures left their label, and after that they went and released a new single straight after the initial announcement. This is a pure acoustic master-class from the band and gives us a slight taste of what the impending album will sound like. You can pick up the digital single from bandcamp for 50p!
Slate The Disco: Yuck – Chew
Yuck are back and back with something very special. This week the moody four-piece posted a new track online, and it is arguably one of their finer tunes to date. 'Chew' is full with the same brand of shoegazey-grunge that made their debut self-titled album last year so popular.
It's All Indie: Bastille – What Would You Do?
Bastille completely won us over when we saw them live, and after I got back I stumbled upon this amazing cover of City High’s 2001 smash hit. Bastille put their own electronic spin on a Hip-Hop/RnB classic. Dan’s vocals just win you over from the off and the sheer consistency of the cover hold up throughout, you can pick up the ‘Other People's Heartache’ EP for FREE from their website
Slate The Disco: Forest – The Great Greens
Optimistic shoegazers and trailblazers of the blooming Cambridge slacker rock scene are currently steadying their new EP for our ears. But in anticipation they this week dropped ‘The Great Greens’ as a taster. It’s full of a lo-fi haze that makes it a truly dynamite piece of grunge-pop. You can even claim this piece of sonic surf-rock for free, which we recommend you do.

Gig Review... Chaser @ Borderline, London, 13th April 2012
After seeing them perform at Heaven last month we couldn't help but go down to their headline show at Borderline just round the corner from Oxford Street. There was a couple of really good support acts Daniel Peterson and St Sprit warmed up the crowd and RCSA was on the decks providing some great electronic music to get you in the mood for Chaser.
So here it was, Chaser opened their set up with a screening of their music video for 'Us', after that they delved into their live set playing such tracks as their current demo 'Somebody Else' and older songs like 'Blood'. I was hiding at the back singing along to 'Somebody Else' and loved every second of their set, they played for around 45 minutes with enough material for a full length album. They played a couple of 'new' songs that sounded very good considering this might be the first time they've ever played them to an audience. Chaser finished on their latest single 'Us' which was just as good as the studio recording. You can pick up the song off iTunes now!

Chaser unveil new video for single 'Us'
Chaser have released the video for their up-coming single; 'Us'. You'll be able to download it on April 13th, the same date as their single release party at The Borderline, we'll be going and so should you. If not the video is below, so get on it!
The video is a great sight to behold, the effects used in it are just memorising, their demo got us hooked on them and this video just cements their place in my musical world!

Gig Review... Chaser @ Heaven, London, 6th March 2012
We've recently featured Chaser on this blog before, so it was a real pleasure to witness their live show, and boy are they good! They opened up the show with their impending single entitled 'Us', you can see the actual performance of the song at the bottom of the post!
The video doesn't do it justice in all fairness, they were blistering live, they all seem to be true professionals down to the last detail. They also played their demo called 'Somebody Else', which got a great response from the crowd, a few people wooing and cheering as they announced the song, clearly that was me and my mates but still, people need to hear this song it's beyond amazing!
I'm really looking forward to their headline show at Borderline on the 13th of April, it's on a Friday so it may not be the luckiest of days but I'm sure they'll blow away the crowd once again!

Friday's Finest - 2nd March 2012
It's another Friday, so that means round 2 of the battle between two blogs! This week we pitch up with Chaser and Peace, and Slate The Disco has come with Bos Angeles and Born Blonde. Remember to go onto our facebook and let us know who has the best duo!
Bos Angeles – 'You're The One That I want': (Slate The Disco)
The lo-fi ramshackle Bournemouth trio who go by the name of Bos Angeles were easily one of our favourite bands of last year. Emerging with a melancholic surf pop sound the trio have popped up with some awesome new tracks today. FYI the 'You're The One That I Want' track that we’ve picked as our favourite is not a cover of the Grease song, which is a shame, but we got over it because this offering is pretty bloody swell.
Chaser – Somebody Else (Demo): (It's All Indie)
With the right amount of guitars, vocal attitude and synths they've fashioned an anthem that'll get them the recognition they deserve. This song can REALLY can be a future hit as it's got everything a great track needs, and that's something the majority of other bands haven't got, a niche. With Piano keys, warming synths and ice cool vocals, this track is just so enticing!
Born Blonde – 'I Just Wanna Be': (Chosen by Slate The Disco)
We've got a lot of love this Friday for the new Born Blonde single, 'I Just Wanna Be'.
Sparking a sound that both harks back to 60s psychedelia as well as mid-90s shoegaze with a tinge of Britpop, all signs lead to a brilliant album, which is due later.
Peace - Follow Baby
Peace a band that we've fell in love with have released a brand new track called 'Follow Baby', it sounds like what would happen if Klaxons went back to 2007 and recorded with The Horrors. This track has it all, great choruses, melodies and a stunning after presence; I've been humming this track ever since I heard it!

Introducing... Chaser
Not much is known about Chaser, but let me shed some light upon that. They're a four piece Electro-Rock band from London, they infuse Piano and Synths with Guitars and stunning vocals. They currently have one track up on their bandpage on facebook and I must say it's a great track to get you hooked onto!
We can't wait for that one! With just this one song (below) doing the rounds, they're keeping me in suspense as I know for a fact that there live show will be fantastic to watch! They're playing mainly London based shows at the moment and one next month will be at Heaven, they'll be on first as they're supporting Morning Parade. I'd keep a close eye on this band as I can see them progressing really far!
