James set to open Glastonbury 2016

The Mancunian band James are set to officially open Glastonbury by playing the 11am slot on The Other Stage. The act performing this slot usually is a 'secret act' that's not normally announced this far in advance but this year the band announced it around 3 months early via BBC Radio 5 live.

Back in 1993 James revealed a track called "Laid", which - without the band realising - made it into the hearts of every American Pie fan. Yes, Jim and Co had this song played throughout all of the films, and it turns out it also won the hearts of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart too.

Here is their version of "Laid" featuring vocals from Jen Goma, it's lifted from their new EP "Hell", which is out November 10th via the band's own Painbow label.

Seasoned band James - one of Manchester's finest - make a return with a brand new album "La Petite Mort" the first new full length James album in six years! It was produced by Max Dingel (Killers, Muse, White Lies) and written as ever, by the band, with Tim Booth lyrics.
