[LISTEN] Thomston feat.Wafia - Window Seat

The New Zealander is back with a brand new track, and accompanying him on vocals is the stunning Wafia, their collab "Window Seat" is a very smooth cut and has some dreamy hooks too. I have to say I do love songs with 'boy/girl' vocals on it, they always tend to give the track that extra layer and makes it very delicate as the two vocalists intertwine their varying voices.

The track sounds perfect to make love to, so... err... listen to it below!

Thomston reveals new track "Expiry Date"

With over 6 million streams on Spotify alone, the new signing by Lorde's manager is on course to be bigger than Lorde herself. We've been a fan of Thomston's for a while, and his new track comes just days before his first ever European and UK dates which starts this week. Being only 19 he has his whole future ahead of himself, and with his blend of RnB, Pop and Chillout elements, he's going to be taking the world by storm in the coming years!

Describing "Expiry Date", Thomston writes: "When I released my first EP I was a nervous wreck. I couldn’t sleep and I didn’t eat much. So my manager booked me a day in studio, told me to turn off my Wi-Fi and focus on making a song to take my mind off things. "Expiry Date" is all the things about this job that terrifies me. It’s the idea that pop stars have a shelf-life, the prospect of losing everything you worked for, but it’s also a promise to everyone on my team that I will work as hard as I can."

Introducing... Thomston

There's something in the water in New Zealand, I swear down on it. In the past 3 or so years it's been a wash with new talent, you had The Naked & Famous first off, then Lorde taking over the airwaves, but recently you have Thomston wanting to move in on their territory.  Thomston has managed to get over 200k plays on his tracks on soundcloud (and rising), and the 19-year old from an Auckland is looking to make 2015 his break-out year. Growing up in  suburb between the city centre, a rain-forest and ocean beaches, strictly on classical music, you can tell he's got a lot of influences in his music.

Being from New Zealand he is also managed by the same people who look after Lorde - I swear there's something in the water there, maybe it's the volcanic activity! We're big fans of singer-songwriters here, but Thomston is bringing something new to the game, think if Ben Howard spent a lot more time with The XX, his tunes are a wash with uplifting and chilled out hooks, and wonderful vocals that can captivate anyone. Thomston is about to break-out, keep an eye on this fella!
