Albert Hammond Jr says "The Strokes will record new album in 2015"

After the news on March 31st that Julian made about the band recording a couple of tracks Albert Hammond has come out and said that the band will be recording an album in 2015.

Speaking to NME he said...
"I imagine there'll be Strokes activity throughout the year and then hopefully - maybe - an album in the new year. That's the dream. Am I saying that's what's happening? No. But I'm saying that's definitely, probably, in everybody's minds. We're definitely not a band that would play these shows just to randomly play them."

The Strokes unveil new song "One Way Trigger"

Rumours surfaced last week that new material might be imminent, well, it's here. The first song of many we hope too! Titled "One Way Trigger", the brand new song sounds a lot synthier than most of us remember the loveably scruffy New Yorkers - and some different-sounding vocals.
