[DAILY DOWNLOAD] YAST - Together Forever

YAST are back. After almost two years of silence we get not one but two singles in a row. Following on from the sublime "When You're Around" comes single number two, "Together Forever". As with their previous single "Together Forever" was produced Joakim Lindberg at Double Sun Studio in Malmö. As you’d expect from YAST it’s packed to the gills with melodies, the vocals are typically laid back leaving the guitars to shout at the top of their lungs. Both singles can be found on their upcoming album "My Dreams Did Finally Come True".

Back before Wolf Alice had their début album "My Love Is Cool" out, they had this song in their setlist, and a lot of fans were wondering what happened to it, well here it is! It takes us back to the early days of the band before they found their meaty hooks and wall of guitars. Yes the bridge and chorus might be on the heavier side but the gentle approach elsewhere is sublime.

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] Protomartyr - Dope Cloud

This is Protomartyr's brand new track "Dope Cloud", lifted from their brand new album "The Agent Intellect", which is out via Hardly Art records this September! It's a track that feels like you're on a roller-coaster, with angular guitars, post-punk hooks and some distorted vocals it's one of those tracks that reminds you of the early 2000's when that sound was all the rage, and the band sound like they wanna bring it back, it's a fucking jam!

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] SKIES - Too Young

Adelaide natives SKIES are an emotive, electronic pop trio composed of Dusty Stephensen, Micah Cearns and Michael Zabolocki. After playing live along side the likes of George Maple, The Kite String Tangle, Crooked Colours, Peking Duk, Safia and many more they have given us their first lengthy offering; a 4 track series filled with layers of striking synth melodies, harmonic vocals and a mixture of up and down tempo beats. The Self-titled EP is due out in September 2015 independently via Young Muscle.

"Sleeping Alone" is Mieke's brand new track, the cut is highly comparable to that of Lana Del Rey and Banks'. It's got the perfect balance between gentle guitars, soothing harmonics and processed drums. The Canadian songstress is looking to make her name and mark herself on the scene, and it looks like she's going to be around for a long time, we're absolutely loving this one and a flick back through her older tracks suggest she's onto something huge here!

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] Arcos - Runaway

Synth-Pop seems to never die, and if you listen to this sorta music then you can see why. Arcos' brand new track is a great example of how ethereal, atmospheric and ambient a track can be in equal measures.

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] The Shanklins - Strange

Just popped on my soundcloud feed, The Shanklins' brand new track "Strange" hit us like a wave from the off, with a good measure of Catfish and the Bottlemen and The Pigeon Detectives there. A lovely set of vocals leads the track out with a great post-punk edge to the track that no one can deny is a smart move.

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] RIVE - Open Road

This is exactly what I want from the new The 1975 album. After scouring for a 'Daily Download' for today I stumbled upon this right gem, it's gone some laid back vocals and guitars draped in a really anthematic chorus and trembling guitars and synths in the background. The track's got a sense of late 1990's pop music with it's composition and end with a bang.

RIVE have nailed it on this one, they're onto great things for sure, they're from New Zealand, literally one of the first countries this side of the international date line, and it looks like they can see what's going to be popular, just wait!

This is YOKOTA's début track, "Blindside". She's an Australian who has right away got our attention with this Alt-Soul come -Indie-Pop tune. The vocals remind us of a blend of Lily Allen and Lianne La Havas, but you can't help want to groove along to that chorus with the brass notes swaying you to do so!

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] LENPARROT - My Kind of Woman (Mac DeMarco Cover)

LENPARROT today has released a single of covers for free via soundcloud. The release titled "AUGUSTE AUGUST (A Collection of Summer Covers)" features a cover of "Somerset Maugham" by Alain Souchon feat. Tonus and "My Kind of Woman" by Mac Demarco, and it's the latter that's our daily download.

Residing in Nantes, France has got quite the social media following and is not shy of a cover or two - as his soundcloud page suggests.
