[DAILY DOWNLOAD] RIVE - Open Road

This is exactly what I want from the new The 1975 album. After scouring for a 'Daily Download' for today I stumbled upon this right gem, it's gone some laid back vocals and guitars draped in a really anthematic chorus and trembling guitars and synths in the background. The track's got a sense of late 1990's pop music with it's composition and end with a bang.

RIVE have nailed it on this one, they're onto great things for sure, they're from New Zealand, literally one of the first countries this side of the international date line, and it looks like they can see what's going to be popular, just wait!

[LISTEN] New Navy - Runaway

After we heard their astonishing track "Zimbabwe" a few years back, we've been keeping a close eye on New Navy. Now they haven't released an album yet, but will do soon - however before that the band are due to split, which is a weird circumstance on to release an album on isn't it!

Regardless... their new bunch of songs is showing everyone what they'll be missing on, some great laid back Indie-Pop kissed with summer vibes. Think of Friendly Fires crossed with Snakdaktal in parts and layered off with some breezy vocals, listen to the latest track to stream below - "Runaway".

Daily Download... T I D E U P - Drifting Sunrise

Based on the song title alone you'd imagine it's a dream-pop track, and after I found this on soundcloud I found out that's exactly what it is. It's a chilled out track perfect for those evenings where you're stressed out, the beautiful melodies and vocals are just sublime here.

Scroll on down and download, then add this into your favourite playlists!

Novo Amor unveil new single "Welcome To The Jungle"

Yes, it is a cover of the classic Guns 'n' Roses track, and it's also featured on the new Lynx Black advert, which is on air on UK TV in March 2015. You can watch the advert/music video just below.

This might just be one of THE most beautiful covers I've heard in a long time!

Ali Lacey (AKA Novo Amor) said...
I wanted to rework this hugely powerful song to a point where it was nearly unrecognizable, giving me the chance to really make it my own. I’ve gone for a complete juxtaposition from the original, once combined with the video I think it creates something quite beautiful and striking.

Vaults reveal video for "Vultures"

The electronic trio have revealed the video for their EP's title track "Vultures".

The director said this about the video...
"It made me think of a group of woman chanting to each other and to themselves, not to sleep but to comfort each other, telling their story and what it hurts them but also sharing their love and joy. I think these two sentiments were equally important to be represented in the video. As a woman there are so many difficulties in the world; the fear of violence every day, dehumanisation because of my sex, censorship… But in the end I just want to remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman"

Vault's "Vultures" EP is out NOW
