[LISTEN] Swiss Lips - Got It Bad

There is no hiding it, Swiss Lips have had a hard time since signing to their label, and after leaving it due to not being able to release any music they've decided to release an album full of B-Sides, Rarities and remixes, "Got It Bad" is one of those tracks. Having already released an album earlier on this year the band are now disbanded - think of this compilation of a goodbye.

Swiss Lips share new song "Books" from forthcoming début album

The band have been around for a while, but in 2015 their debut album is finally for release after a long-standing battle with their label. "Books" is the brand new track they've shared yesterday (17/02), and it's set to be released officially on the 23rd of Feb via BMG.

After a few years in the wilderness, literally, Swiss Lips finally have some great new music out, in the shape of "Wilderness". The band have said that - "This [WILDERNESS] is a song that didn't quite make it onto the album. You can download it for free. More to come..."

Gig Review... Swiss Lips @ Water Rats, King's Cross, London, 20th March 2012

After signing a 4 album deal with Sony they've come a long way since we've first laid ears on them, they were called 'Ten Bears' in the days of old, and now they've stunned us with their amazing performance in a little pub in London.



Having stirred quite a buzz with their 'début' track 'U Got The Power' we couldn't help but go down to see them perform, one of the last times they were playing in London I was abroad, so I had to see them after 3 years of waiting. They got the biggest crowd of the night so far with the place brimming with smiles and people bopping away to the bouncing synths and captivating vocals. They wowed me after they played 'Danz' and further confirmed their introduction to the crowd by playing their tropical number 'Fireheart', hailing from Manchester they've got some shows up that way coming up so see them if you can, your ears will love you!

Introducing... Swiss Lips

They been around for around a few months now, maybe more but sadly I don't know much about their history, only about where they are destined! They had a long hiatus (in various bands) from releasing any tracks and they are now back and bigger than ever!



The first track they have unleashed upon the blogosphere is called 'Grow', this is a synth laden pop-rock nugget of perfection. Sam from the band said to me (about this track)...

"We didn't want to come back with anything until we had nailed it, and we're confident we have."

They have already started the free give-away with 'U Got The Power', and based on that track and 'Danz' I am sure they have achieved their goal! As one of the very first bands we covered I am pleased to see them come back with such a strong song. And what makes it better is that you can hear it below. They will be releasing a brand new track every week so make sure you 'like' them on facebook and follow their blog religiously!
