[LISTEN] Formation - Pleasure

Formation might be the most exciting duo to pop up since the turn of the year, their blend of Dance-Pop, Electronic sounds and a hint of Jazz infuse together to create some highly addictive tunes, and their latest cut "Pleasure" is definitely addictive.

This one has some house-like piano keys and some hip-hop-esque grooves going on, to listen to it just head on down! Be sure to check them out at festivals over the coming months!

[LISTEN] Tom Odell - Magnetised (Tube & Berger Remix)

Now even if you're not a fan of Tom Odell you might like this remix of his latest track "Magnetised". It's down to the great skills of Tube and Berger, it's a down and dirty industrial sounding electro track which has 2am written all over it!

I'm glad they haven't altered Tom's vocals too much, head on down below and check it out!

[LISTEN] James Blake - Timeless

James Blake has unveiled a brand new track called "Timeless" on his BBC Radio 1 Residency last night. The song is taken off his up-coming album "Radio Silence" and sees him head into territory that wouldn't phase SBTRKT fans, it's a lot more soulful than his other new tracks.

One other good piece of news is that his new album is finished - he said, "I said it a couple of months ago that I think it’s time to start recording an album because – you know – there’ve been requests. People have been asking if I’m going to record a record, so I did one. It turned out great–quite long, but I’m really happy with it. It’s 18 tracks long. Yeah, one of the tracks is 20 minutes long, as well."

The Avalanches are officially back and announce festival shows

Late last night, Australian electronic group The Avalanches updated their social media accounts providing hope of a long-awaited follow-up to critically acclaimed plunderphonics album 'Since I Left You'. Although not giving away any information regarding the new album (which they've reportedly been working on since 2005), they have announced some comeback shows for 2016. With their last live show being in 2007, and last DJ set in 2011, their return is one not be missed - with the group bringing us their take on an "ambient world music party".

The Avalanches will play Primavera Sound in Barcelona as part of the festival and at the closing party, as well as Splendour in the Grass in Australia. More importantly for all UK based fans, the band have been added to the Sunday line-up for Field Day.

Added to the likes of PJ Harvey, Air, Beach House, and many more on the Sunday, it is a day that you can't miss out on. However, be sure to look into the full weekend, as the Saturday is not short of superb - with a headline slot from James Blake, and others including Four Tet, Roots Manuva and Rejje Snow.

Being as unpredictable as they are, I would not pass up this opportunity. Who knows, it might be the last for a while.

[LISTEN] Tom Redwood - I've Fallen For You

As you all know, we love Swedish music and this latest Swede sensation is currently getting hyped all over the world thanks to the HypeMachine (which we're not a part of, #notbeingsourhere) and Spotify. The track reminds me of a George Fitzgerald track but with a lot more guitar lines, and it honestly sounds like it can be performed live by a band, this is some sick production!

Listen to it below.

Mura Masa shares video for "What If I Go?"

Mura Masa - who is quite possibly the hottest and most exciting new producer currently in the UK - has revealed his video for "What If I Go?". The track features BONZAI and will be on his debut album, he was also #5 in the BBC's Sounds of 2016 list, and with all of his new music it seems that he's going out to prove them wrong.

Head on down to watch the video.

[LISTEN] styn - Same World (feat. Jonny Stemp)

We're big fans of Jonny Stemp - in fact I'm pretty sure that's how all of our posts regarding his work start off - and this is the latest track he is a part of. Here's he's the guest vocalist on styn's new cut "Same World", which reminds me of a Gorillaz b-side, just the sound of those drum beats and crackling vinyl sound.

It really is different compared to his usual sound, but it's always nice to see musicians dabble in other genres from time to time, you can check it out below.

[LISTEN] Digitalism - Go Time

Digitalism have always been one of the best electronic acts of recent times as far as I'm concerned, and when Daft Punk were not making music I subbed Digitalism for them, and never have I looked back. "Go Time" is the duos latest cut and sounds a lot like New Order crossed with Phoenix (if anyone remembers them).

It's a great Indietronica track with some great guitar hooks to boot! So why not head on down and find out why this band has been one of my favourite electronic acts of the past ten years!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a decade since Digitalism broke through with their anthemic "Zdarlight". Nu-rave and dubstep came and (largely) went; hip-hop morphed into trap; and EDM made pop stars out of dance DJs. Back with their third album, "Mirage" which is out May 13th.

[LISTEN] Boys Noize feat. POLIÇA - Starchild

I've been personally a fan of Boys Noize ever since I heard their remix of Bloc Party's "Banquet" over ten years ago, so whenever I see new material from them I have to check it out. Turns out their latest offering is a very glitzy and atmospheric track featuring POLIÇA on vocals, which adds yet another dimension to their work with some captivating vocals.

You can listen to it below.

[LISTEN] Man Without Country - All Is Full Of Love (Björk Cover)

Welsh trio Man Without Country have just uploaded a cover of Björk's "All Is Full Of Love", which isn't their first cover, and follows on from their cover of The Beloved's "Sweet Harmony" - which is now a year old.

This latest track gives "All Is Full Of Love" a huge feel to it, not that Björk can't do that or anything but there is a whole lot more atmosphere here, with a dash of The Petshop Boys sound about this it's certainly a big track that can easily soundtrack your late night!

[LISTEN] SBTRKT - Good Morning (feat. The-Dream)

Great news, SBTRKT is back with new material, and it's heralded the dawning of his new album, well that's what I'm going to say anyway. This is his first piece of new work since his album back in 2014.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1, SBTRKT said "..."Good Morning" is the first of 'a collection of tracks' to emerge from sessions with The-Dream.". You can listen to it in full below.

[LISTEN] Thomston feat.Wafia - Window Seat

The New Zealander is back with a brand new track, and accompanying him on vocals is the stunning Wafia, their collab "Window Seat" is a very smooth cut and has some dreamy hooks too. I have to say I do love songs with 'boy/girl' vocals on it, they always tend to give the track that extra layer and makes it very delicate as the two vocalists intertwine their varying voices.

The track sounds perfect to make love to, so... err... listen to it below!

[LISTEN] ECHOS - Tomorrow

Portland based Echos have revealed a rather stunning track in the shape of "Tomorrow". It's racked up a quite staggering 100k plays on soundcloud in the past three days and it's now getting seriously hyped.

Upon further inspection it sounds huge, with some sounds that don't sound atmospheric, but sound like they've been plucked from the stratosphere. Head on down to find out why I'm all excited about this duo!

[LISTEN] Indigoe - The Flash

Fresh out of California is Indigoe, the project of Josh Collopy is an instrumental track with nods towards TYCHO, the ambient side of The 1975 and is ready for those 'Midnight Mixtapes'. The track is an epic six minutes long and oozes bounce and bite.

Head on down to check out Indigoe's début track "The Flash".

[LISTEN] Shura - Touch (Four Tet Remix)

We all know Four Tet is a busy fella, but what you might not know is that he's recently remixed Shura's track "Touch", and has given it a very distinctive touch. It quite could be one of his brightest remixes (as far as tone goes) for a long time, and certainly it sounds like a very summery remix of Shura's track.

Head on down below and listen to it.

[LISTEN] Bloc Party - The Love Within (Crookers Remix)

There's not a lot of official remixes since Bloc Party's latest album "Hymns" has come out, but this one from Crookers has surfaced. Here they've taken Bloc's 'comeback-single' "The Love Within" and have turned it from a radio friendly dance-rock number to a dark and electronic track that borderline's house music. Certainly it's given it an alternative feel, and some fans are saying that they prefer it.

Different is always good, so why not head on down to listen to it.

[LISTEN] ZHU - In the Morning

ZHU has just revealed a utter stunner a few hours ago. "In The Morning" is a trance-revival track that shouts late 1990's, dark dance-clubs and it has some beautiful and captivating vocals too. Now we're not big on the 'Deep-House' scene, but if you love your music then you'll dig this a lot.

So head on down and stream it.
