Communion Music set up fundraiser for families of Viola Beach

Communion Music have set up a fundraiser for the families of Viola Beach and their manager after the tragic addicent that happened on the weekend. Communion Music, have announced that all sales of their current single, "Boys That Sing", will see proceeds donated to the groups families.

A statement from the label reads - "Viola Beach had only recently come into the Communion family, and had everything going for them – great songs, passion, talent, drive… everything that a band should have."

Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club to Headline New Festival 'Citadel'

Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club have been announced a the headline acts for new festival, 'Citadel', which will be held in Victoria Park, London on Sunday 19th July.


The one day festival comes from the creators of Lovebox and Wilderness but Ben Howard and Communion record label themselves are the ones sorting out the rest of the bill and judging by their appointment of Bombay Bicycle Club, there could be plenty more big names to come!

Tickets are only £45 and which you can purchase from this Friday at 9am. Alternatively, if you pre-register, tickets will be available from this Thursday at 9am. Click here to find out more about Citadel festival.

Communion Records launch "New Faces" EP series with XFM

Communion and XFM are very pleased to announce their partnership in a series of digital-only EP releases. Entitled 'New Faces', the EPs will feature new artists championed by both the label and station

The first release, Volume 1, is released today (22nd July) and is dedicated to the Isle of Sheppey's Story Books. Following the release of the 'Too Much A Hunter' EP through Communion earlier this year, and acclaimed performances at SXSW, Great Escape, and T In The Park, this 4-track EP showcases live session recordings from that release, alongside the heart-wrenching debut single 'Peregrine', and a cover of Bjork's All Is Full Of Love.


The EP is available to buy exclusively through iTunes here for two weeks, and will then be made available to download and stream through all digital outlets.

To mark the release of the first release in this new series, Communion and XFM's John Kennedy will co-host a club night at London's Barfly on Tuesday 23rd July, featuring live performances by Story Books, the hotly tipped Nick Mulvey, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Northwich's Joe Banfi. Tickets.
