Beach Baby unveil video for "Lost Soul"

Beach Baby have unveiled their video for their latest single, "Lost Soul", which has come out at the end of a 15 long tour around the UK.  About the track the band say - " ... you feel like a spectator in your own life, and are struggling to find a purpose. We also tried to infuse ‘Lost Soul’ with some of the sex and bravado of Motown, which is a new thing for us."

[LISTEN] Spring King - The Summer

Spring King have revealed their brand new single "The Summer". They're huge fans of The Beach Boys and this song was written as an ode to them according to the band. The track was first played on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. More news from the band is that they're going to be finally releasing their debut album on the 10th of June! It's called "Tell Me If You Like To".

The Parrots are Hinds' favourite band, don't take my word for it but see for yourself - they even released a music video together! The Madrid trio have revealed their latest surfy track called "Let's Do It Again", it's got some hints of Garage-Rock in there as well as a bright pop vibe to it.  Viva España!

[LISTEN] Francis Lung - Dance 4 Sorrow

Today see's another bright new track from "Francis Lung", which is just in time for the European Summer, it's got some bouncy guitars, and a dancable drum beats. The new cut is released from his new release "Mother's Son" Vol II EP, and features Francis doing everything on his own (as far as instrumentation goes at least).

So stick this on and fool yourself it's 35'c outside!

[LISTEN] Swimming Tapes - Souvenirs

Swimming Tapes have sent us their gorgeous new track, "Souvenirs". It's a dreamy track that's got a lot going for it, summery vibes, a smooth and echoing vocal as well as some sweet guitar tones. The track hooks you in from the off and when you get to the end you just have to hit the repeat button for one more listen.

[LISTEN] Texxcoco - La Nueva

If Hinds were flying the flag for mainland Spain, then Texxcoco are the Indie darlings of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic. After getting in touch with us via Facebook we couldn't believe how catchy this track in particular was! It's got 90's Garage-Rock edges laced with Surf-Pop sensibilities. I guess growing up and living on the sunny island of Gran Canaria has rubbed off them.

Summer is here and it's in the shape of "La Nueva" by Texxcoco, listen below.

The Crookes reveal colourful video for "The World Is Waiting"

Sheffield quartet The Crookes want the holiday cheer to continue throughout the year, offering up a colourful and festive video for their second single off their upcoming album, "Lucky Ones", entitled "The World Is Waiting". With comparisons drawn against The Maccabees, The Heartbreaks and to some extent Joy Division their music is winning the hearts of fans at a tremendous rate.

[LISTEN] Holy '57 - H EP [IAI PREMIERE]

Today we've got the stunning new EP from producer Holy '57 - the EP comprises of four epic tracks including the highly acclaimed track "Island Kids", which has gone onto get well over 20k plays, the new chilled out opener "The Tennis Club (Of Bombay)", "Au Naturel" (which we've posted about before and we absolutely love!) and the closing track "Savanna" which is a trip back into memory lane with some 70's vibes going on, harmonic vocals and huge guitars.

All in all the EP is well worth a listen, if it's raining outside this is the perfect companion, if it's sunny outside whack this on and go for a stroll, the EP is made for every occasion - I personally love it, and you can stream it below!

[DAILY DOWNLOAD] Pure Morning - Stirling

Today we came across a lovely surf-pop track laden with shoegaze riffs, echoing and distorted vocals and a really anthematic guitar tone. Maybe it's a love song to Man City's new transfer singing, maybe it's cigarettes, but all we know is that it's a rush of pure Indie-pop, wrapped up and ready for the sun!

[WATCH] Youth Club - Breathe

‘Breathe’ is the new video from indie-pop six-piece ‘Youth Club’. Signed to Lab records, this Southend band are already paving their way in the music scene with numerous catchy songs embellished with summery vibes. ‘Breathe’ is yet another one of these songs, focused on the never ending guitar riffs which have a very Two Door Cinema Club feel to them, it is inevitably a dancey tune. Gerarrd’s lead vocals ensure that there is a chilled element to the track which enables the verse vibe to be relaxed, in preparation for the very different energetic, singable chorus. 

The line ‘I feel like I can’t breathe, I’m underwater losing time,’ rings in one’s head throughout the track, ensuring that all can sing along to the track whether they are familiar with it or not. The summery feel is continually reinforced, especially during the instrumental where the guitars become the main focus of the track and drive the tune even more.

Overall, ‘Breathe’ is an extremely, fun and dynamic track which is undoubtedly a festival crowd pleaser.

Youth Club are playing Standon Calling, Y Not Festival and Underground Festival this summer, with hopefully more autumn shows to be announced soon.

[LISTEN] Hinds - Chili Town

Spanish Indie-rockers Hinds have revealed a brand new track called "Chili Town", which is lifted from their up-coming début album.

Speaking about the track the band said...

"Chili Town was born in a Friday afternoon.
While drinking sangria we realized that if our songs were battles, we'll always end up being the injured soldier. Rhen we were like "fuck it dude, why are we always the weak one in our lyrics??? "hat's wrong with us???" 

so yeaaaaahhh we made it! we wrote a winner song! ...right? "Chili Town" was written exactly in the same place and way we wrote our first song ever, AND is gonna be released exactly with the same team that took care of it : Lucky Number music in Europe and Mom and Pop in the US. You can't imagine how proud and excited we feel smile emoticon .

It will belongs to our DÉBUT ALBUM"

Swim Deep unveil B-Side "Hotel California"

Today sees the unveiling of Swim Deep's latest track, "Hotel California". It’s the b-side to recent single "To My Brother" - which is out on Chess Club Records - and shares the singles baggy feel whilst showing a more expansive scope to the band.

Introducing... Clay

In October last year we gave you an exclusive first play of Clay's début track "Sun Dance", and since then the Leeds foursome have gone from strength to strength. Playing shows all over the UK, including at some brand new scenes such as Hertford, they're pioneers in the making.  So to the band itself, they're first track "Sun Dance" is a real summer jam with some soulful flairs and beautifully held vocals laced with echoes of early Indie-Pop. They've had a sudden uprising as the one and only Zane Lowe has hand picked them for his 'Next Hype' section.

They're certainly a band that knows how to brand themselves, and they're one of the few bands that gets the whole social media thing - and trust me, these days it's a good thing! Clay are one of the hottest properties on the 'un-signed' market right about now, with shows dotted all over the UK they're sure to be popping by yours soon, and trust me, if you like what you hear now - you'll love what they're going to be doing soon!
