Bloc Party have signed to Frenchkiss Records

Bloc Party have left their long standing label 'Wichita'. Their initial deal was four albums, which they've fulfilled with 3 studio albums and 2 remix albums, Kele and Young Legionnaire (two 'Side-Projects') both signed up to the label to release their Albums and EP's but after 6 years they're now going into the next chapter of their existence. Below is the official announcement made by Kele earlier today.

It is with great pleasure that i would like to announce to the universe that Bloc Party have now signed to Frenchkiss Records. This signing has made Bloc Party very happy because not only do we know and love the people at this label but we know and love this label’s output. Frenchkiss has released some mighty fine music over the years, music that has gone on to influence this very band.

So here’s to some more mighty fine music…
