Friday's Finest

So it's Friday which only means one thing, Friday's Finest, us and Slate The Disco have made a lovely 5 track playlist for your weekend.

Slate The Disco: Carousels - 'Stay With Me'
The new demo from Cambridge outfit Carousels has dropped and it is certainly tasty! More Teenage Fanclub than their earlier stuff, but the result us smacked us right between the eyes.

It's All Indie: Rapids - 'Got Hearte'
Since the last EP they've got a bit more Indie-Pop/Tropical compared to the two previous releases. But this track; 'Got Hearte' stands out from the crowd just like 'Littleblood' did last year. The Math-Rock drumming are (as always) amazing to listen to, the guitar tones are memorizing and the whole song ebbs and flows and then bursts in the choruses. Rapids! are back and are here to stay, download it now. It's free and what's more it is amazing!

Slate The Disco: Passion Pit - 'I'll be Alright'
Passion Pit have revealed another new track. ‘I’ll Be Alright’ will be taken off the forthcoming album ‘Gossamer’ which is due for release in July.
It is the second single to revealed from the new record after ‘Take A Walk’ was premiered last month.

It's All Indie: Get People 'Grove'
Get People have their Ep launch today, and to celebrate this we're giving away a free mp3. This new song called 'Grove' is taken off that EP. It's a haunting synthy track filled with acid and nightmares. This is something you'd want to put on in the dead of night, just spellbinding!

Unanimous: Deap Vally - 'Gonna Make My Own Money'
Bringing rock-hard grit and all-girl soul from the San Fernando Valley, Deap Vally is made up of the howl of Lindsey Troy and the rhythm of Julie Edwards. Together, the duo break blues down to its simplest, most fundamental form: beat, melody, and meaning, while their scorching live shows are fast becoming the stuff of legend. Deap Vally will release their debut single, Gonna Make My Own Money, on Ark Recordings on July 30th, and make their UK Live debut this summer.
