Friday's Finest

It's Friday, which means we have a special playlist for you all, us and Slate The Disco have put it together so go on and enjoy!

Slate The Disco: Stars - 'The Theory Of Relativity'
It’s been two years since we’ve heard from Montreal’s Stars, but they’re back with a blinding new track. New offering ‘The Theory Of Relativity’ is prime with summery tones and shimmery synth led pop.

It's All Indie: Bloc Party - 3x3
Bloc Party came back this week, and after nearly three years without playing any shows this was what happened when they came back. The first song they played upon their return, and I have to say this is most welcoming, Bloc Party and being heavy is something worth looking forward to!

Slate The Disco: Splashh - 'Need It'
Splashh is the brainchild of Toto Vivian and Sasha Carlson. Forming only a matter of months ago, in February 2012 to be exact, the duo bonded over their mutual music loves and began plotting their sun drenched musical assault on the UK. Growing up between the South Pacific and the UK, they left the beaches behind and came together to record in a small bedroom in Hackney, the result was a myriad of floating, fuzz-laden grunge pop tunes.

It's All Indie: Fairchild Republic - Stay Young
This song sounds like the perfect combination between The Temper Trap and The Killers, and in this track you can't help but wonder how Australia is hiding them away from the rest of the world. 'Stay Young' has everything we like, we've checked out their other songs and they all are just as good as this. Keep an eye out for this band in the coming months, it looks like they're going to explode onto the scene all around the world.

Unanimous: Two Door Cinema Club - 'Beacon' Album Teaser
Two Door Cinema Club have announced details of their second album. ‘Beacon’ is set for release on 3rd September on Kitsuné and will be the follow up to the hugely successful debut album ‘Tourist History’. ‘Beacon’ was recorded in LA with acclaimed producer Jacknife Lee who has previously worked with REM, U2 and Bloc Party.
